Before Your Rotation

Personal Infection Prevention and Control Measures1,2

personal safety measures to take before rotation

Students taking part in face-to-face classes or attending campus for other reasons are recommended to perform a daily health check.1 A daily health check allows you to determine if you are exhibiting symptoms of communicable disease and may keep you from attending UBC campuses and spreading illness.

If you are feeling unwell, stay at home and follow your program’s absence procedures.

To review additional infection prevention and control practices for clinical care providers, consult Infection Prevention and Control Basics for Health Care Workers in Patient Care Areas and/or Direct Care Roles Online Course on the LearningHub. Finally, see the viral respiratory illness checklist,2 for health-care workers.
